Humans are often vocal, and stationary. Vocalizing for a canine is mostly for distant communication. Dogs operate through a system of body language and energy.

Their culture is very different from ours. Eye contact means different things to a dog depending on the circumstance. We have different rituals. We shake hands to greet someone and they….. smell each other…..

We have status symbols such as fancy cars and clothes. Theirs relates to how high you get to hold your tail. Since most humans do not have a tail, communication in this area can get confusing for the dog. A dog of a higher station will behave differently that a dog who is in a follower state of mind. We humans behave differently when we are talking to friends of a similar station than we do when we are talking to an officer who has pulled us over.

I show people those differences and help them understand how the dog might misinterpret its role, resulting in unwanted behavior.

I use a program based on Cesar’s method of rules and boundaries, then love and affection. Treats have a place in the training but most of what I teach is naturally occurring rhythms based on respect and loyalty.
